Buttermilk Soup

Who wants to bake in the heat of the summer? Instead of turning on the oven to 350, open your fridge and grab a quart of buttermilk. With the addition of a few basic ingredients you'll have a delicious and refreshing dessert. Although our buttermilk soup is yummy enough to eat by the spoonful it is best served over fresh fruit salad.

In a medium bowl, whisk to combine:

1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Whisk in:

1 quart buttermilk

Chill in an airtight container until ready to serve. Serve over fresh fruit salad.
